Description
We're on the hunt for passionate, dynamic, and experienced
VP Construction who crave innovation and thrive on challenges.


The Vice-President Construction will champion multiple projects and multiple teams operationally in each phase including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction to ensure all large projects are completed on time and within budget.


For this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Work with Superintendents and Foremen to devise formal strategies to accomplish project tasks, allocate resources, establish production goals, and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the Executive team.
  • Skillfully engage in highlevel negotiations to generate lucrative contracts and/or build beneficial relationships with companies and individuals.
  • Review performance of project managers, superintendents, and field support and establish constructive corrective measures as needed.
  • Monitor production performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations.
  • Manage budgets for multiple projects, monitor and control costs.
  • Tackle unforeseen issues and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and attend industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead.
  • Complete and submit monthly Project Status Reports.
  • Enforce the cost control process and represent respective branches in monthly project review meetings.
  • Manage and enforce Best Management Practices for risk mitigation, scheduling, document management, changes, etc.
  • Work with project teams to monitor and track progress toward goals and measure analytics.
  • Devise tactics to reduce costs, increase revenues, and improve overall company performance.
  • And other duties as assigned by your Manager.

Additional Qualifications that will make you successful in the role:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 10+ Years prior experience in the Construction Industry required.
  • Have excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment where multitasking is a necessity.
  • Be a strategic thinker with strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work well with others, work under deadline situations and be able to respond to changes in priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent grammar and spelling.
  • Must be a Team Player and a Self-Starter.
