Joshua's Pest Control is hiring full time ENTRY LEVEL & Experienced Pest Control Technicians. We are looking to add to our team - motivated individuals who are ready to begin a new career in the thriving Pest Control Industry

Key Responsibilities:


  • Greet and speak with customers at the door with a friendly introduction. Review the services to be rendered at the home.
  • Be responsible for completing a daily route of 12 to 18 homes in a timely manner while practicing safe and defensive driving techniques when traveling between stops.
  • Consistently communicate with the office staff call center when in need of assistance.
  • Write comprehensive and understandable notes on customer accounts to review initial requests, solutions provided, and any followup tasks.
  • Keep our customers' homes looking neat and tidy by making sure to sweep down any and all spider webs around the structure, fence line, and other nesting sites.
  • Inspect and treat for ants, spiders, and other common pest invaders. Accurately diagnose causes for pest activity and set expectations with customers in person by providing tips to help decrease the pest population.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly assigned company vehicle. Keep equipment in good working condition and store all products properly.
  • Report onsite to our office one to two times per week for vehicle safety inspections and product ordering. Attend morning meeting training sessions to review pest facts, product usage, and customer service skills.
  • Collaborate with your teammates on monthly goals and help uphold _positive culture building._

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be comfortable driving for long periods of time. [WE SERVICE ALL OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY]
  • Unlicensed and Licensed Welcome to Apply.
  • For applicants who do not yet possess a license, please feel free to review them for their instructions. Applicants must be eligible to receive a license from the Structural Pest Control Board.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. (Those seeking to pursue or are in higher education are also welcome to apply)
  • Must be on time every day and complete routes as assigned daily. Must uphold Joshua's Pest Control processes and procedures.
  • Must pass applicable state license exams to be considered for continued full time employment. (JOSHUA'S PEST CONTROL pays for all state license exams and training is paid at your regular rate)
  • 10+ hour work days, 5 days per week which may include Saturdays. ([Daily Overtime Expected])

What does a day look like?
You'll start the day by attending our morning meetings, either virtually or in-person at our office.

Take some time to review some announcements and train up on the latest seasonal pest or even practice setting expectations with customers with role-play sessions.

If you're on-site, you'll go through your vehicle inspection safety checks and make sure to stock up on any product you'll need for the week, making sure to swap out any worn equipment for repair.

One last look over your route, noting any special notes like call aheads, timed appointments, or special products, and then you're off


As you visit each and every house, you greet each customer with a friendly introduction before reviewing their service notes and checking in if there was anything else that needed to have been done.

You inspect the property and customize the treatment for the structure and the yard, depending on the season and the pest.

You are solution-minded and you implement Integrated Pest Management to work together with the customer, providing the knowledge and know-how to help prevent pest activ
