Job Title:
Cable Technician


Location:
Richmond, VA


Start Date:

ASAP

Start Time: 7 or 8 am


Duration: 6 months (Temp-to-Perm)


Pay Rate:
$22-$28 per hour


Scope of Work:
As a Cable Technician, you will handle service contracts in and around the Richmond area.

You should be comfortable driving within a 45-minute to 1-hour radius and working some weekends as required for service calls.


Responsibilities:


  • Install and connect computer and communication cables for company customers.
  • Train and supervise Assistant Cable Technicians and Helpers.
  • Drive a vehicle with an automatic transmission to and from the company office and job sites.
  • Load and unload materials and tools.
  • Safely and efficiently install and connect copper LAN wiring, telephone wiring, and fiber optic cables as per specifications.
  • Solve installation and connection problems as they arise.
  • Stay updated with new methodologies, technologies, and concepts related to cable installation and connection.
  • Maintain proper documentation and paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers, supervisors, and other contractors.
  • Work with mínimal supervision from Cable Technician Foreman or other job supervisors.

Tools/PPE:
Full personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand tools required.


Job Types:

$ $28.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

Low Voltage: 1 year (required)
