Job Description:


XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems.

These systems are used to support Small Unit Training:
Squads through Company,

Medium Unit Training:
Battalion through Brigade, and

Large Unit Training:
Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO).

Our work depends on Facilities Specialist joining our team to support Unit Commander's Training Objectives by assisting in providing a workplace which is conducive to individual through collective training.

Duties include successful completion of a wide range of grounds maintenance, minor facilities maintenance, and cleaning duties. These combined duties provide for a clean, neat, safe and healthy work and training environment.

HOW A FACILITIES SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT- Schedules, coordinates, and implements facilities projects and plans facilities utilization.

Prepare, execute, and manage pre-exercise setup of all facilities; prepare, execute and manage post-exercise recovery and reset of all facilities back to their original configurations; assist in the overall management of Soldier details (preparing for, supporting and recovering during exercises).- Responsible for most aspects of facility management to include installation; setup; test; alignment; operation; maintenance; and physical security.- Inspect/document monthly fire inspections and coordinate safety/fire inspections with DPTMS and document all safety/Fire safety events, accidents, and incidents.- Plan and organize daily, weekly, and monthly duties framework for facilities team.- Manages the overall utilization of the exercise facilities of the Mission Training Complex (MTC) and prepare facilities for exercises, set up furniture, ensure that support equipment is installed in required locations, make minor repairs, or coordinate for non-self-help or major type repairs, assist and manage post-exercise recovery of all facilities.- Plans, directs, and reviews the day-to-day and tactical activities of individual contributors responsible for the development and delivery of area and site security programs.- Builds and manages relationships with vendors providing area or site security services; makes recommendations for area or site contracts for service.- Executes and monitors the effectiveness of existing security policies and practices to ensure compliance with established regional and functional direction.

Develops site physical security standard operating procedures.- Performs all contractor security briefings and monitors personnel access to all secure areas.

Manages security clearance status and manages access to facility.- Conduct daily checks of the overall condition/state of the facilities; provides cleaning team with guidance/requirements and monitors the cleaning team activities performed IAW cleaning checklist.

Maintain Facilities Maintenance report (DMO Tracker), check daily with DPW until all work orders have been completed.- Writes security annex for all classified training events.

Briefs security procedures to all government and military users of site facilities.

Produces site training calendars as directed.- Responsible for minor self-help repairs to facilities and grounds maintenance.- Interviews, hires, and supervises the janitorial and grounds maintenance staff.- Participates in special projects and task as directed by leadership.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of facility management experience related to military operations and support.
  • If no degree, minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Security Clearance: Secret clearance required
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the managing facility functions.
Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills. Performance of these duties requires exercising discretion and independent judgment and decision-making with respect to facility matters. Location: On-site at the Fort Stewart MTC. Normal work schedule is , may require night, weekend or flex work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.- Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)
