POSITION OVERVIEW
Provide for receipt, storage, issuance, and shipment of materials and supplies used.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate and Prepare requisitions for materials and supplies.
- Schedules and oversees periodic physical inventory of stocked items.
- Conducts inventory control studies.
- Researches, Investigates, and resolves inventory control problems.
- Reviews and distributes pick lists.
- Investigates and resolves shipping and receiving errors from customers and vendors.
- Maintains computerized and paper records, generates inventory reports with recommendations.
- For items that need to be repaired or held for disposition, coordinates the identification, storage, and pickup.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- May perform all duties of warehouse staff.
- Provides work guidance and supervision to subordinate staff under the direction of the Warehouse Manager.
- As needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Basic Math skills,
- Forklift experience a plus but not necessary.
- Must have excellent computer skills with MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five (5) years of related experience
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY
The job requires training or instruction in the area of environmental Awareness.
- This job requires training or instruction in the area of Safety & Health awareness including completion of the appropriate MSHA training.
