AEGIS is looking to hire experienced security officers and honorably discharged veterans who can work either full-time or as part-time armed and/or unarmed officers.

Armed Officers must have California Guard Card (BSIS permit), Firearms Permit, Baton, and Chemical Agent.

Security Agents primary role is crime prevention and customer service. for minors at a summer camp and their families.
Security Agents assist with the functions of physical and personal security, and safety measures for clients.
Other duties may include access control, list management, crowd control, emergency response, pat down and metal detecting search, and law, policy, and code enforcement.
All officers who are licensed with firearms permits are hired and offered employment as unarmed security officers, and then qualify for work as an armed agent.
There is an immediate need for both part time and full time armed security officers for all shifts in the Los Angeles area. Please speak with a recruiter regarding additional available posts

Minimum Requirements:

Armed Officers must have California Guard Card (BSIS permit), Firearms Permit (BSIS permit), Baton, and/or Chemical Agent.
One year experience in high end security, military, or law enforcement
A GED or High School Diploma / Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college (preferred)
Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Have excellent ENGLISH verbal and written skills
Be height / weight proportional and have a neat professional appearance
Have access to reliable transportation and a track record of being ON-TIME to work
Own a black business suit, white button down dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, and dress shoes or shined boots, and a small flashlight

Availability, Pay & Perks:

Full time Part Time and On Call Schedules available 24/7. Weekends required.

Please note that you will be hired on as a regional employee, however feel free to express interest in one of the above available shifts when asked by the recruiter.
Security Agents typically work as needed 1250 hours a week throughout the county (including mandatory weekend nights) and are offered full time regular positions after probation.
Armed Guard pay ranges $2425/hr depending on experience, qualifications, and the assignment.
Experienced Off Duty Officers, EP and Estate Agents are paid the industry standard
Paid accrued sick leave
