The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Data Sytems Analyst to join the Neuromodulation Division.

In this role, you will be integral to optimizing lab protocols, ensuring consistency, and enhancing the overall user experience for our research participants.


Primary duties include:

  • Develop and maintain instructional protocols, content, and training materials/resources
  • Conduct training sessions
  • Design intuitive structures for protocols and wikis
  • Implement version control and monitor usage metrics
  • Collaborate with IT Teams to ensure security and accessibility of wiki platforms
  • Define data requirements, standards, and protocols
  • Maintain data quality standards by conducting regular data cleansing and validation
  • Oversee data entry and data maintenance procedures
  • Address endusers' software queries
  • Maintain web services
  • Salary: $78,800/yr $175,000/yr

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Instructional Design, IT or related field

Minimum 1-year experience in programmer or IT position

Strong understanding of data management concepts, practices, and tools

Proficiency in wiki platforms and content management systems

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Familiarity with version control systems and editing workflows

Knowledge of visual design principles

Skill in routine maintenance of research equipment and supplies (preferred)

General engineering understanding for working and troubleshooting firmware, hardware, and software

Previous programming experience (in clinical research environment or clinical research data)

Advanced coding skills

Experience using C, C#, Unity, or Python (preferred)

Advanced troubleshooting and algorithm debugging experience

Ability to learn EEG and TMS
