As we continue to expand our services and reach, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team.


Job Overview:

The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing various initiatives and projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations at Meals on Wheels of Northern Illinois.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently, with a strong focus on automation and leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.

Additionally, the Project Manager will actively participate in staff meetings, contribute to strategic planning, and provide support wherever needed to drive organizational success.


Responsibilities:

Project Management:


  • Lead and manage 510 projects simultaneously, leveraging project management methodologies to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including objectives, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies, utilizing project management software for efficient tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define project requirements, facilitate communication, and resolve issues proactively to keep projects on track.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings with the Director of Operations, providing updates on progress, addressing challenges, and identifying opportunities for optimization.

Automation and Technology Integration:


  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency through the automation of manual processes and the integration of new technologies.
  • Evaluate existing systems and workflows to identify areas for automation and optimization, leveraging technology solutions such as workflow automation tools, data analytics platforms, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Partner with IT and other departments to implement and integrate technology solutions seamlessly, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and user requirements.
  • Provide training and support to team members on new systems and technologies, driving adoption and maximizing operational effectiveness.

Strategic Planning and Collaboration:


  • Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives by providing insights, recommendations, and datadriven analysis to support decisionmaking.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align project objectives with organizational goals and priorities, ensuring projects are strategically aligned and contribute to overall mission success.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external partners, vendors, and technology providers to leverage expertise and resources to support project objectives.

Operational Support and Process Improvement:

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to standardize processes and enhance operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on automation and technology integration, preferably in a nonprofit or social services setting.
  • Strong proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Microsoft Project, Asana), as well as experience with workflow automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Experience with ServTracker or similar software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills, capable of identifying opportunities for improvement and driving process optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and innovative approach to problemsolving.
