- This position is a full-time position with option of .8 or 1 FTE.
- Typical schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm CST
- Pre-procedure evaluation and preparation of patients undergoing interventional or other image guided radiologic procedures
- Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults, inpatient rounding and long-term patient follow-up
- Schedule patients for procedures including pre-authorizations, working with other facilities to coordinate procedures as needed, processing orders, sending reports back to referring doctors.
- Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries.
- Perform or assist image-guided procedures
- Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
- Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients
- Educate patients on their medical care and other duties as assigned
- At LEAST 1-year minimum experience as a practicing Mid-Level REQUIRED
- Procedural experience - PREFERRED
- Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Wisconsin is required
- Graduate of a training program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA) or American Nursing Association (ANA).
- Board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
