Yale, OK based company Walter AG is currently seeking a:R&D Specialist Cutting Materials Solid Roundtools (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities:
- Your main task is to lead and participate in projects with a focus on cutting material development for Solid Roundtools (carbide and HSS)
- You will be responsible for selecting, evaluating and approving semifinished product suppliers
- You will work closely with the departments of coating development, product management, R&D Roundtools, engineering, purchasing, as well as external partners (universities, customers)
- Conducting experiments in the laboratory and at customer sites is also part of your job
- You will monitor the market for trends
Your profile:
- You have successfully completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering
- You have good theoretical and practical knowledge in the field, especially indepth machining knowledge and cutting material knowledge, structure and application with a focus on Solid Roundtools (carbide, HSS, coating)
- With good English skills in both written and spoken form, you can inspire others with your ideas and visions
- Your structured way of working ensures the success of your projects
