Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Quality Systems Specialist to join Phantom Works in Berkeley, MO.

Boeing Phantom Works Quality team is an advanced research and development organization that delivers strategically disruptive, innovative, sustainable, and production-ready capabilities to the warfighter.

This position's primary role supports the production, approval, and release of specialty materials for internal and external customers; supports the development and qualifications of new materials; and will:

• Ensure Quality considerations are integrated with development program activities.
• Identify complex requirements (customer and internal) and evaluate flow-down.
• Identify and ensure that "right-sized" Quality is performed on programs.
• Identify appropriate process discipline to ensure Quality, efficiency and risk reduction.
• Identify opportunities for appropriate phasing of customer Quality requirements.
• Provide data and analysis that helps programs make informed decisions.
• Provide focus on containment, corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide leadership/engagement in process improvements of all areas.
• Provide guidance on programs with limited Quality resources.
• Provide customer interaction on Quality topics as appropriate.
• Provide guidance and coaching to teams on the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Support reviews to ensure Quality attributes are incorporated into product designs

Position Responsibilities:

• Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development.
• Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
• Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems. Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation.
• Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability.
• Conducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions, and develops a coordinated response for management review and approval.
• Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management.
• Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
• Works under general direction This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* 3+ years of Quality experience.

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment 3+ years of experience working with composites materials and processes.
• 3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematic s
• 1+ year of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Experience in specialty materials Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
