Description

We are in search of experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions in school districts around South Holland, Illinois for the upcoming academic year. As an applicant, you should satisfy all local and state prerequisites, which include:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
Valid Special Education teaching certification in Illinois
Familiarity with special education laws and regulations, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Capability to customize instruction to cater to the diverse needs of students with disabilities
Outstanding communication and teamwork skills with students, parents, and colleagues
Background in implementing evidence-based teaching methods and interventions

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
Evaluate students' academic, social, and emotional requirements and create suitable teaching approaches
Offer direct instruction in various subjects, adjusting the curriculum to align with students' personalized objectives
Work together with general education teachers, support personnel, and parents to ensure students' needs are addressed in inclusive environments
Supervise and record student advancement, adapting instruction when necessary to foster development
Participate in IEP meetings, parent assemblies, and other obligatory professional development activities
