June 6, 2024 Reporting Relationship(s): Position reports to the Division Director of Admin & Finance FLSA Classification: Exempt Annual Salary Range - $65,000 - $70,000 General Summary This individual oversees fiscal operational controls to ensure the optimal efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.

Responsibilities include the oversight and/or management of operational procedures and systems for:
finance, accounting, and payroll including related staff performance and supervision. This individual also assists the Division Director in supporting the finance department and policy structure. Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes. Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections. Work with funders concerning expense reporting, budget modifications, audits and other related activities. Maintaining documentation for conducting internal audits. Assist in annual audit preparation and reporting. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain subsidiary ledgers. Meet processing and reporting deadlines. Supports and supervises the Accounting Specialist. Oversees and supports the payroll process. Ensuring compliance with GAAP and Uniform Guidance requirements. Assisting the Division Director as needed. Notary Public license preferred. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree required in accounting or finance, Master's degree preferred.

Previous Experience Requirement At least five years' experience in accounting or a related field Two years' experience in a supervisory capacity preferred Knowledge and Skills Needed to Perform Effectively in this Position Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.

Automated financial and accounting reporting systems; fund accounting; preparation of financial statements and reports. Fiscal monitoring and control mechanisms; budgeting practices; automated payroll/human resources platforms.

Hands on knowledge of automated time recordkeeping such as Paychex Additional Requirements This position will be expected to work between 35 and 40 hours per week as job requirements dictate.

Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; experience with accounting software, CFRS software, MS Office and internet use; ability to plan, organize, delegate, supervise, and evaluate the work of assigned staff; devise new or revised policies and procedures to adapt to changes; read and understand contractual language; maintain confidentiality.

The incumbent must have high organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
