Busser

Job Summary:

The Busser will play a critical role in ensuring that our restaurant is clean and well-maintained at all times, and that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience.

Job Duties:

• Assist servers in running food to guest tables from the expo section.
• Clean and wipe all tableware, chopsticks, rice bowls, ceramic plates, and soups properly, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
• Ensure that stainless steel spoons, forks, and knives are free of water stains.
• Clean all water glasses, wine glasses, and teacups and ensure that they are free of water stains.
• Clean tables before dessert and set up dessert plates and cutlery accordingly.
• Check with guests to see if they would like to take out any leftovers.
• Bring all soiled tableware and glasses to the dishwashing area.
• Stack all tableware and water glasses neatly and ensure they are clean and ready for use
• Stack all takeout containers at the expo section and keep takeout related items organized and maintained on shelves in the basement.
• Ensure that the basement is clean and organized at all times.
• Bring and refill ice before the meal operation starts.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to carry and lift heavy trays.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in a restaurant setting

Education/Qualification:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in customer service or the food industry is preferred.
