Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in providing medication and pharmaceutical services to patients in a hospital setting.
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
- Use aseptic technique to prepare sterile products for patient use.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy for patients.
- Provide patient education on medication administration and usage.
- Perform medication reconciliation and review patient profiles for potential drug interactions.
- Assist with medication order entry and processing.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and inventory management.
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for order entry and patient profile management.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, critical care environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff.
