Description

We are seeking a part time Recreational Therapy Assistant who has a heart for and is comfortable with memory care residents.

This person will be responsible for embracing and implementing the Vibrant Living programming model specifically focusing on Social Engagement and Intellectual Discovery while working to blend all five components of wellness.

This model supports whole person wellness for residents to enjoy their highest level of functioning and quality of life by ensuring meaningful opportunities.

The Recreational Therapy Assistant will help to implement a variety of purposeful social and intellectual opportunities that will meet the many different needs, backgrounds, style, and preferences of the Residents.

This will give the Residents the ability to find fulfillment out of the activity/event that appeals to them the most.


The Recreational Therapy Assistant is also responsible for fostering relationships with residents that will help them grow, regardless of their age or physical and cognitive abilities.

This is a very diverse group with diverse needs, so we are looking for someone with high energy and the ability to be flexible with some of our most vulnerable residents.


HOURS:
Hours will vary between mornings and evenings. (Schedules/Times can be somewhat flexible)

Weekday Evenings: 2:00pm-7:00pm

Weekend Days: 10:00am-5:00pm

  • Every other weekend and holiday is required
  • Potential to pick up additional hours to cover other staff's PTO

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Valid State ID or Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a work physical
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check with no felonies, assault, theft, etc.
  • Fully vaccinated against Flu and COVID or be able to submit an exemption form
  • High school diploma or equivalent
