We are currently seeking several positions as tree inspectors (m/f/d) for the
Department of Urban Greenery and Water in Woodlawn, VA, starting as soon as possible.
The
Department of Urban Greenery and Water is responsible for the preservation and development of the urban green-blue infrastructure, making a valuable contribution to the attractiveness and liveliness of the city of Leipzig.
The tasks include planning, construction, and management of municipal green and park areas, cemeteries, as well as bodies of water and the city forest.
The development of Leipzig in its diversity, density, and liveliness, as well as the promotion and maintenance of a high quality of life for the people living and working in our city, are of great importance.
The department for city trees is responsible for enforcing the municipal tree protection ordinance, protecting and inspecting the safety of trees in public streets, parks, and green areas, planning, planting, and caring for all street tree plantings, developing the street tree inventory in accordance with the city of Leipzig's street tree concept, and managing tree sponsorship programs, particularly the "Strong Tree City" initiative.
