    Primary Purpose:

    Register new students, maintain discipline files and prepare Main Detention List

    Qualifications:

    Education/Certification:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Computer experience in Windows '07, and Mainframe; file maintenance; ability to communicate with public in person and on telephone
    Experience:
    • Other school district experience desirable
    Major Responsibilities and Duties:
    1. Update/maintain discipline files on students
    2. Daily Main D-Hall List
    3. Keep track of tardies for Saturday D-Hall
    4. Register new students
    5. Requesting and receiving of new student's records
    6. Make new student folders
    7. Prepare expulsion and alternative school letters
    8. Send student records to requesting schools
    9. Records Liaison
    10. Scheduling Building/Grounds Use
    11. PEIMS Dropout Report
    12. Distribution of U.S. and district mail
    13. Clean out/Prepare new folders for outgoing 8th graders
    14. Make Secondary Permanent and Test Record cards for incoming 6th graders
    15. Help with answering telephones
    16. Wait on students and parents at front counter, taking lunch money, belts, etc.
    17. Receiving/receipting money for lost textbooks
    18. Refunding money for returned books, etc.
    19. Order Printed Materials

    Ability to communicate effectively (verbal); maintain emotional control under stress; interpret policy, procedures and data; coordinate district functions

    Physical Demands / Environmental Factors:

    Frequent prolonged and irregular hours; Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; steady phone interactions; moderate standing, walking and bending
