Overview:
PTG Live Events, LLC, more commonly known as The Pabst Theater Group, is a multi-faceted
entertainment organization that hosts over 600 live events annually across venues in downtown
Milwaukee:
Pabst Theater, Riverside Theater, Miller High Life Theatre, Turner Hall Ballroom, and
VIVARIUM.
The Pabst Theater Group Box Office is seeking an organized and professional individual with a high level
of accuracy and attention to detail. Expectations of this role would be assisting the Box Office Manager
with the development and management of all box office staff to ensure a friendly, welcoming, and
has the ability to manage multiple tasks, works well as a team member and independently, works
efficiently under pressure, and has the ability to be a leader to part-time staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Event building & proofing within ticketing system, including full event builds and promotions
- Manage Box Office staff during regular hours of operation and during events
- Assist the Box Office Manager with current staff and onboarding new staff checking references,
- Compile and distribute financial Box Office reports
- Weekly/biweekly cash reporting, daily ticket count reporting and programming
- Regularly work with departments outside of the Box Office to support efficiency and collaboration
- Develop thorough knowledge of Box Office ticketing policies, become proficient with the Pabst
efficiency and better our interface with our patrons
- Leads a team of box office staff and fosters a work environment that encourages a culture of high
- Jumps into action when needed whether it be assisting with problems or covering shifts
- Other responsibilities and duties or special projects, as assigned by management, to ensure the
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience preferred.
- Ticketing systems and advanced venue box office experience (reporting, programming experience
- Experience directing staff
- Basic proficiency in business software: Microsoft Excel and Word, Gmail
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment independently and as a member of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a range of people from different backgrounds
- Knowledge and interest in live entertainment
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this entry level professional position would be commensurate with other salaries in the
industry and includes health and dental insurance as well as participation in the company 401k program.
Work Status:
- Salary exempt
- This role is part of a bargaining unit represented by a union, and terms and conditions of employment
- Weekly schedule to include regularly working nights and weekends.
