Overview:


The Contract Analyst will perform contract administration of engineering and ship construction contracts and subcontracts including preparation of proposals, negotiating terms and price and ensuring the elements of each business commitment are clear and well documented.

The position requires the ability to work independently while in close coordination with Electric Boat's Program Offices, Cost Estimating, Purchasing, Finance and Legal Departments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Request for Proposals (RFP's), Statements of Work (SOW's) and Terms and Conditions (T&C's).
  • Prepare and organize contractual documentation in support of contract changes and proposals, negotiations and certification related to cost or pricing data.
  • Develop proposal assumptions, conditions and revisions to contract language.
  • Prepare wellwritten documents that detail disclosures and negotiation.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, policies, the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Communicating with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure contract and subcontract actions are understood and completed.
  • Respond to requests for guidance from various functional departments and perform special projects to support Electric Boat business goals.
  • Some business travel may be required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associates Degree in Business or related field
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance

Preferred:

  • Contracts experience administering Government prime contract/subcontracts, including negotiating and financial analysis experience
  • Experience administering cost type contracts with incentives
  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field

Skills:


  • Working knowledge/experience with FAR, DFAR's and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial analysis, problem solving skills and math skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
