Summary:


Extrusion Machine Operators are responsible for line changes/setups, machine and tooling troubleshooting, maintenance repair, and tear down of extrusion lines and extrusion machines to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient production environment, The product resulting is a finished product that adheres to the quality standards of Georg Fischer Harvel, LLC.


Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Following all safety procedures and report any safety problems to the supervisor immediately
  • Measuring pipe with caliper and veriners to insure the quality of the pipe meets the QA data specifications
  • Completing production tickets with the proper information for audit station one. I.e. part number, weight of lift etc
  • Cleaning/trimming parts, making sure they are bundled and inspected ready for packaging
  • Keeping the cell or line assigned to you clean at all times
  • Reporting all problems with the product to technicians or supervisor
  • Knowing how to troubleshoot or contacting maintenance technician if the machine stop
  • Having the capability to correctly identify the different materials and products
  • Supporting the established Quality policy and understanding the importance of Quality, such as Inspection of parts visually for defects
  • Fulfilling the role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instruction
  • Serve as a mentor to newly hired employees with regard to work instructions and company conduct standards
  • Work with management to improve the training programs and initiatives
  • Data collection and assisting with material trials
  • Performing all other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic math skills, ability use micrometers, calipers and tape measures.

Knowledge, Skills, Training & Abilities:


  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Performs all operations according to prescribed safety principles.
  • Follows the procedures as presented in the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct Policy, department procedures.
  • Present a professional demeanor and attitude with both internal and external company personnel and visitors.

  • Tolerance of strong odors in areae it can be emitted from materials

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
