    Description

    Summary

    This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operational Support Division, Aviation Division.

    This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as business planner and advisor under the general supervision of the Administrative Officer on contracts which are heavily supported by contractor personnel. The incumbent plans, analyzes and implements the operational and procedural programs associated with overseeing the contracting and procurement of items.

    As a Contracting Officer Representativeyour typical work assignments may include:
  • Developing and maintaining systems to evaluate and monitor contractual performance related to such areas as delivery, cost, amount of progress or advance payments, effective use of Government-furnished property, scheduling and usage of facilities, and management of overhaul or maintenance functions.
  • Planning, scheduling, and conducting evaluations of project operations, procedures, and organizational structures, identifying problems or deficiencies and recommending ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations in a program or support setting.
  • Researching and analyzing unstable or uncommon administrative and program issues.
  • Identifying issues, gathering, and analyzing information and developing advice and guidance to resolve substantive problems affecting the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a program or program support setting.
