Description
A Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring quality assurance and the production team meets scheduled goals.

This entails a range of oversight of work including planning, scheduling, directing, and executing production activities for maximum performance of projects by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Validate work jackets meet procedural requirements.
  • Plans workflow in accordance with scheduled dispatch report according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Distribute production work jackets to operators and supporting departments.
  • Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
  • Maintains an uptodate status on all responsible jobs.
  • Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
  • Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Informs Planning Manager of Job status and Issues that might affect on time delivery.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and advises Master Scheduler on updating schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.
  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for creating a professional, safe, and clean environment evidenced by: being at work on time to perform assigned duties, following the policies of Granite State Manufacturing, always wearing safety glasses in designated areas, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and following safety practices to prevent errors.
  • Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by establishing effective relationships and networks with both managers/directors and workers, and collaborating with them to accomplish shared purposes and goals.
  • Abides by GSM Code of Ethics and Business Conduct standards and strictly observes all U.S. and foreign laws and regulations.

Requirements:


  • Associate's degree or equivalent from twoyear college or technical school, six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), Windows based computer programs, ECi M1, and ERP/MRP based companywide sales order administrative systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others' ideas and tries new things. Ability to communicate effectively.
