    Lead Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer - Manhattan, NY
    Full-Time/Permanent

    We are looking for a Lead Ultrasound Technologist with experience in General Abdomen, Small parts, Vascular, and Echocardiography. To join a growing new imaging start-up.

    Shift:
    Days (Monday - Friday)

    Job Summary

    This individual should be a compassionate and skilled ultrasound technician and will be leading a team of Ultrasonographers providing in-home and in-office ultrasounds to concierge and hospital-at-home patients.

    This role would initially help perform studies, but would only do approximately 10-20 studies per week.

    The position is also responsible for aspects of the daily operations of the business including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, reporting equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA).

    As well, this individual will be a key member of the team helping with strategic and logistical planning.

    Lead Ultrasound Technician Responsibilities


    • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations in offices and in patient homes.
    • Uses independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
    • Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate
    • Synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates studies and findings to the appropriate PACS systems/physicians
    • Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer's care
    • Coordinates and manages the work schedule of a team of technicians
    • Assists with the daily operations of the business
    • Helps coordinate QA efforts

    Education/Experience:

    • Graduated from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program - (Preferred)
    • Minimum 1-year experience - (Required)

    Requirement:

    • Highly competent in general, small parts, vascular, and cardiac sonography
    • Possessed a strong working knowledge of anatomy and pathology.

    Certification:

    • ARDMS *American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography*, active BLS training.
