    Description

    Century Group is excited to share a great opportunity for a strong Senior Cost Accountant to join one of our clients. If you're someone who is organized, has strong analytical skills, and are looking for a company you can grow with, this is the place for you Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $43 to $58 per hour.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create cost estimates for new and proposed products, ensuring thorough analysis and consideration
    • Utilize financial data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable recommendations
    • Assess the impact of changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services on costs
    • Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance with accounting principles and regulations
    • Monitor material and labor costs, identifying information requirements and suggesting improvements
    • Prepare weekly and month-end reports detailing cost activity and inventory status
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in cost accounting roles, preferably within manufacturing or similar industries
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated expertise with ERP systems
    • Proven ability to define quantitative/qualitative problems, gather and interpret data, and draw valid conclusions
    • Effective communication and presentation abilities to convey complex financial information clearly
    • Demonstrated capacity to collaborate cross-functionally and thrive in a team-oriented environment
    • Strong attention to detail with a proficiency in mapping and following processes
