    Description

    DSJ Global is partnered with a top food and beverage company to hire an EHS Director.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops organization wide programs to preserve the environment and protect the health and safety of employees and the public
    • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and standards involving safety, environmental health, chemical control, industrial hygiene, general safety and fire safety
    • Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety
    • Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials
    • Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future
    • Represents the company to various government agencies and/or the general public or local community
    • Establishing strong relationships with EHS key partners such as regulatory agencies, unions, trade associations, academic institutions, and other stakeholders
    • Delivers EHS briefings and training sessions as appropriate to fulfill regulatory requirements and foster a safe working environment for all employees

    REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related technical discipline.
    • 10+ years of hands-on professional experience in Environmental Health Safety and Security supporting multiple sites.
    • Ability to develop effective training programs on safety codes, OSHA regulations, EPA guidelines, health regulations, hazardous materials, and emergency preparedness.
    • Familiarity with government regulations and ability to coordinate with regulatory agencies across multiple states.
    • Availability to work off shifts and travel at least 50% of the time.
