***:Primary responsibility is to facilitate the communications functions of the business

office and provide clerical support.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


  • Facilitates the communications system which may include, mail distribution, pagers, phone
system, memo's, answers/triage incoming calls, documents and disseminates appropriate

messages. Competently handle multi-line phone system. Demonstrates understanding of system

features.

  • Provides clerical support which may include preparation of admission, orientation, continuous
care and new hire packets; monitoring and ordering office supplies and forms, typing, special

projects, filing, data entry and copying.

  • Creating morning/end of day reports, agendas for meetings, and fax weekly plan of cares to
external physicians.

  • Order office and medical supplies as needed, organize supplies when delivered.
  • Promotes the agency philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to
patients/families, physicians and community agencies. Uses effective customer service skills

when directing calls and assisting others. Promotes effective communication to patient/family,

team members, and other health care professionals and maintains confidentiality.

  • Prepare monthly facetoface calendar, certifications/recertifications, schedules, HIS reporting,
and contracts as needed.

  • Assists team by admitting, discharging, and changing level of care in system. Assist team by
setting up continuous care, transportation, and ordering medical equipment.

  • Assist with Medicaid/Medicare forms, room and board reconciliation, continuous care and GIP
reconciliation.

  • Backup office team and performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 1year medical office or medical business experience; Hospice office experience is
preferred

  • MS Office Proficiency, advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work with a high sense of urgency

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
