Overview:
Duties:
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials. Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the facility.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
- Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
- Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
- Operating and managing technical equipment.
- Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
- Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
- Identifying workplace safety hazards.
- Adhering to safety management standards.
- Adhering to production schedules.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing and counting materials
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient operations
Experience:
- Previous experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts, including Hi-Lo and order pickers
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and procedures
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform materials handling tasks
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Experience in equipment repair is a plus
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent handeye coordination.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely
- Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
- Good physical condition.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
