    R. J. The role involves assisting in clearing derailments for our railroad clients nationwide.

    No prior experience is required as we are dedicated to training the right candidates. Skilled Operators and individuals with a CDL-A license have the potential to earn up to $100k annually.

    Responsibilities entail:

    • Operating and maintaining heavy equipment for railroad derailment clearing
    • Performing laborer tasks when required
    • Prioritizing workplace safety and adherence to PPE protocols
    • Driving and operating CDL-A vehicles and machinery safely
    • Compliance with DOT regulations and driving permits
    • Readiness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
    • Effective communication with team members and supervisors

    Requirements for the role of Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer at R. J. Corman:

    • Mobility for frequent travel and 24/7 emergency response availability
    • Residence within a 45-minute radius of the R. J. Corman facility
    • Satisfactory results in background checks, drug screenings, and physical tests
    • Possession of a valid CDL-A and DOT medical certification (preferred)
    • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds
    • Passion for outdoor work environments

    CDL candidates will need to register with FMCSA Clearinghouse to provide consent for pre-employment screenings.
