Purpose of Position:

Join our team as a Safety Specialist and play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members and stakeholders.

As a Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential hazards, promoting compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a culture of safety within our organization.

You will develop and deliver training programs, investigate incidents, and work to continuously improve our safety protocols. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by enhancing workplace safety and driving operational efficiency.**
Key Responsibilities
Identify and mitigate workplace hazards to prevent accidents and injuries.

Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local safety regulations and standards.

Develop and deliver training programs to educate team members on safety protocols.

Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Foster a culture of safety through awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field.

Bilingual in Spanish is required.

5+ years of experience as safety as your primary role.

Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyze data and identify trends.

Certification in relevant safety programs (e.g., OSHA).

5+ years of experience working in commercial construction industry.

Knowledge and experience in concrete, tilt-wall, and masonry type work helpful.

Other safety and industry training such as First Aid, CPR, Forklift, Aerial/Scissor Lift required. Understanding of DOT and OSHA compliance regulations is required.
