TITLE MIDDLE SCHOOL IN-SCHOOL SUSPENSION AIDE WORK DAYS REPORTS TO Building Principal SALARY

SCHEDULE SUPERVISES GROUP Classified EVALUATION By Building Principal utilizing the adopted district process FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent
Keyboarding and general clerical skills
Computer and technological skills
Ability to utilize independent judgment
Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs In-school suspension and detention referrals.
Counsels students sent to these areas prior to a student commitment.
Communicates with parents concerning these students.
Works with teachers concerning classroom work assigned to ISS and detention students.
Makes recommendations to the teacher regarding student needs or programs changes.
Maintains computerized statistical reports and records required by these programs.
Prepares student reports on detention and ISS referrals periodically or upon request.
Advises supervisor of the needs of the programs and recommends changes in the structure or format of In-school Suspension or detention.
Participates in staff development activities and attends staff meetings.
Participates in parent-teacher conferences when required.
Provides for his/her own professional growth.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Building Principals.
