Preakness Healthcare Center / County of Passaic is look for a part time Food Service Worker, to work under the direction of a Cook, Head Cook, Food Service Supervisor, Director, Supervising Dietician or other supervisory official, does the tasks involved in preparing and serving food, and/or in cleaning food service facilities and equipment; does other related duties as required.

• Serves food from the steam tables or from other cooking utensils and arranges and delivers trays.
• Delivers food to dining rooms and resident units.
• Prepares salads, desserts, and beverages, sandwiches and other items as directed.
• Sets tables, changes table linen, and counts dishes, linen, and silverware.
• Washes dishes, trays, pots, pans, silverware, and other kitchen and food service equipment.
• Washes, scrubs, pares, hulls, cores and prepares vegetables, fruits, and berries for cooking or for serving using manual or powerdriven equipment.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with residents and staff.

Experience:
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.


Note:
Part-time, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm including every weekend.


License:
New Jersey Driver's License

Pay:
$17.09 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
