SUMMARY:


The primary function of the QA Engineer at Camisasca is to provide leadership and continuous improvement efforts for all departments.

In addition, maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 compliance, interdepartmental status of the quality system and trainings, determining production process improvements, maintaining the internal audit program, coordinating ISO third party surveillance audits, and supporting the company efforts for IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 Certification in the near future.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Engineering:


  • Assist in processing all ERD's and ECN's to meet customer and internal needs. Facilitate crossfunctional teams to design experiments, provide updates, and strategic vision on next steps through conclusion. Coordinate control document updates, review and approve final.
  • Assist in the creation and control of CAD Drawings, Control Plans, PFMEAs, DFMEAs and Production Files; update and archive as needed.
  • Create Manufacturing Plans in 1 Factory; monitor work order results for department and Manager compliance. Revise Plans as needed based upon data driven results.
  • Create incoming inspection criteria; maintain and oversee process providing timely final approval as required. Revise inspection criteria as needed. Coordinate appropriate action with related Managers on rejected receipts.
  • Assist in AAR, ISIR, PPAP, SPAN and IMDS per customer requirements; submit, maintain, update and archive as necessary.
  • Maintain Gage Control software, Gage Calibration process and conduct Gage R & R reports.
  • Review and Approve Graphic Films, Production Software Programs, and FAIs to meet CAMI Standards

ISO:


  • Assist in the review of QMS as well as Management Leadership Team meetings, as required.
  • Assist in ISO/IATF maintenance and improvement efforts with Management Support.
  • Coordinate and assist in responding to Customer and Annual ISO Certification/Recertification Audits.
  • Conduct Internal and External Audits of QMS, Products, Vendors, Processes, etc. including creation of the Schedule to meet CAMI ISO requirements and business needs. Identify areas of concern (Lessons Learned) and opportunities for improvement (Continuous Improvement) coordinating department manager's responses to satisfactory conclusion and validation.
  • Conduct customer scorecard tracking monthly, including analyze for anomalies, engaging Management and contest errors as needed.

Quality:


  • Act as the "voice of the customer" as it pertains to quality for all parts, products and service manufactured or provided by Camisasca and its assigned suppliers and vendors. Ensure the activities of all departments are in keeping with our Quality Policy & System.
  • Responsible as Liaison with customers' Quality and Engineering Teams. Engage with vendors on quality concerns with root causes based upstream.
  • Help determine when CAPA's and SCAR's are required according to customer and internal needs in order to mitigate risk and business exposure. Facilitate crossfunctional teams to determine root cause, containment, and corrective actions through timely conclusion. Coordinate control document updates, review and approve final.
  • Organize and maintain all quality related files, hard and electronic, for effective and efficient review.
  • Respond to and lead Quality Alerts; investigate, initiate and facilitate crossfunctional teams for the MRB process as required. Document as required in all associated forms, logs, and 1Factory.
  • Engage in appropriate training for quality related instructions, schooling and seminars as identified and directed.
  • Monitor and analyze First Past Yield and Fallout
  • Engaging management to identify trends (SPC) and opportunities for improvement through retraining, process improvements, etc.
  • Maintain gage calibration and control to ensure correct functionality and condition of all in process gages and jigs. Maintain management & staff QA approval stamps. Review and approve production film and equipment files as required.

General:


  • Support Production and Purchasing to ensure 3rd Party regulatory requirements are completed on time and documented as required (_OSHA, AQMD, Backflow, Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility, MMOGLE, Conflict Materials, etc._).
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, lessons learned, safety requirements, and resolve any issues or delays in all areas of responsibility.
