Storage Construction, an established self-storage construction company is seeking out its next member of the executive accounting team.

Our growing company, with over 25 years of experience in the self-storage industry, is looking for a Vice President of Finance and Accounting eager to work in a team environment and with the skills and drive to excel in a growing company.

The Vice President of Finance and Accounting will oversee the Company's financial and analytical processes and develop the necessary infrastructure.

This position will work closely with the Company's owners to achieve geographic and revenue growth goals.

Responsibilities:


  • Implement best practices for all accounting and finance areas
  • Oversee the accounting department
  • Review all financial statements
  • Monitor and make recommendations on sources and uses of cash flow
  • Prepare annual budgets and monthly cash flow reports
  • Monitor change orders and job profitability
  • Monitor work in process reporting
  • Negotiate annual insurance contracts
  • Maintain and create banking and treasury management relationships
  • Coordinate annual tax filings with outside accounting firm
  • Review annual employee benefit renewal options

Experience & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required, advanced degrees and certifications a plus
  • 10+ years' experience in construction / commercial real estate
  • Knowledge of Procore & Quickbooks a plus
  • Proficient understanding of federal and multistate taxation
  • Experience in oversight of corporate/construction insurance and employee benefits
