    Purpose of Role:

    The Lab Technician is responsible for contributing to the progress of the Elastomer Research and Development team by accurately weighing, expertly mixing, and thoroughly testing R&D rubber materials, thereby advancing the frontier of elastomer technology and fostering innovation in product development.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Collaborative Support and Testing: Assist the Elastomer Development Scientist with Research and Development by thoroughly testing, weighing, and mixing rubber and rubber specimens.
    • Communication Skills: Routine reports and correspondence effectively and demonstrate strength in both oral and written communications. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Equipment Proficiency: Use laboratory test equipment such as rheometers and durometers, as well as running scientific testing apparatus.
    • Mathematical Aptitude: Use basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals to ensure accurate testing results.
    • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree or Technical College Degree/Certificate
    • 3-5 of lab experience, ideally focusing on elastomer products.
    • 3-5 years of experience in quality control.
