About Madeleine Sorbonne:
I have my Associate’s of Science in general studies with honors and am working towards a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Zoology with intent to work with wildlife (management & conservation).
Experience
May 2022 - August 2022:
- Zoologist/Entomologist Technician Intern at Mosquito Abatement District – Davis, 85 North 600 West Kaysville, Utah
• Performed lab and field duties including mosquito identification, counting/sorting, resistance testing, trap assembly and disassembly, trap maintenance, etc.
July 2020 - Present:
- Zoology Education Assistant at Weber State University, Zoology Department
• Animal care of several species housed on campus as well as presenting on zoology related topics for youth of nearby schools.
July 2018 - May 2020:
- Personal Nanny for Don Ulvestad Residence - Salt Lake City, Utah
• Provide childcare assistance to a 7-year-old, low-functioning autistic boy. Responsibilities include transportation, meal prep, friendship, patience, constant supervision, homework help, etc.
2010 - 2017:
- Ranch Hand on a 200-Arce Family Owned Farm in Duchesne, Utah
• One of 4 main care givers that worked with 9 horses, 10 bunnies, 20 chickens, 12 geese, 5 ducks, 5 turkeys, 40 goats, 15 llamas, 2 alpacas 3 dogs, 8 cats, 3 pot belly pigs, 7 parakeets, 2 sheep, etc. Responsibilities included feeding, bathing, herding, grooming, birth assisting, medicating, wellness checks, etc.
Education
I am currently working on obtaining my Bachelors degree in Zoology and should graduate this spring.
