Barista:


Summary/Objective:


  • As a Barista, you contribute to the success of providing a welcoming, exceptional experience to the rest of the team and our guests. Our team members thrive on empowering the lives of our community by providing products that are on the forefront of nutrition and innovation. You will help with delivering warm and friendly interactions with our guests. From greeting our guests, ringing up orders, preparing beverages/food, ensuring orders are delivered timely, maintaining a clean and safe working environment._

- _ Ensure speed of service by providing guests an incredible experience in an accurate and timely manner from when they place order (5-8 mins)_

- _Demonstrate professional communication by reading verbal and non-verbal ques_
- _ Obtain and demonstrate retail supplement education and product knowledge_
- _ Up-share product (recommending boosts and items that compliment)_

- _ Answer phones with proper and professional etiquette (expectation before 2 rings) _

- _Sample in-store daily and offsite at events when specified and agreed upon _
- _Review communication board for daily education, insights, and company goals_

Operational Excellence:

- _ Complete daily opening and closing checklist and tasks _
- _Prepare food and beverages (such as smoothies, juices, acai bowls, toast, lattes) to build guide recipe and standards_
- _ Ensure correct measurements when following all food and drink recipe preparations_
- _ Complete tasks in a timely manner as designated by management_
- _ Stock incoming orders and merchandising product accordingly_
- _ Fill out waste log and other tracking documents_
- _ Wash blenders and kitchen utensils_
- _ Taking timely duty-free meal period(s) and/or rest break(s) _
- _Be proactive to communicate to management if product is running low_
- _ Comfortable with excessive noise from blenders, juicers, and other equipment_
- _ Fulfill 3rd party and online orders accurately and in a timely manner _
- _Follow daily and weekly deep cleaning calendar in store _
- _Contribute and provide feedback for closing manager reports each day _
- _Proficiency in the use technology and POS systems_
- _ Possess a Food Handlers Certification if required by local ordinance_
- _ Check expiration on made to order and retail product offerings, daily_
- _ Practice First In First Out (FIFO )product handling_
- _ Follow all safety and health guidelines_
- _ Conduct sampling events_


Supervisory Responsibility:


  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities._

Work Environment:


  • This position works in a food/beverage setting. This role routinely uses restaurant equipment such as blenders, knifes, phones, tablets, POS registers, and standard cafe equipment such as freezers, walkin refrigerators, 3 compartment sinks, ice machines, mop sinks._
