Join us as an
Associate Infant Toddler Teacher and help create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Under supervision, you'll assist in developing and implementing enriching activities tailored to each child's needs.


Key responsibilities include:

  • And maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications
-
Permit Required:A Valid Associate-level Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
or a Valid CDA credential with the appropriate age-level endorsement.

Education:Minimum of twelve college-level credits of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent quarter units in child growth and development, human growth and development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum;

  • At least six months of experience in a licensed infant care center or comparable childcare program.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and lowincome families is desirable.
  • Ability to read and write English, interpret documents, and communicate effectively. Have basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).
  • Deep understanding and ability to articulate the role that equity, inclusion, and diversity plays in our work.
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards is highly desirable, including Lesson Planning, Creative Curriculum, Mighty Minutes, Ages and Stages Questionnaire, DRDP Assessments.
  • Pediatric First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certification or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days of employment.

Other Requirements:


  • The successful completion of an employment background/criminal check and live scan fingerprinting clearance.
  • Employment physical and proof of immunization record (MMR and TDAP vaccines).
  • Proof of absence of tuberculosis.
