Position Summary


The Trainer will wok with the Director of Human Resources, Quality Assurance Specialist, and Program Directors to help lead the design, implementation, and delivery of classroom, online, and blended learning modules associated with the onboarding of new employees and managers throughout the organization.

This person coordinates program improvement initiatives to promote awareness, and education, and assures continuous assessment and compliance with all regulatory, state, and compliance standards.

This person will participate independently and in collaboration with the EHR Team to coordinate activities around the continuous improvement of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and implements organizationally aligned onboarding and training plans for all role levels.
  • Supports ongoing employee development through sourcing learning content and communication of training programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations and improvements.
  • Ensure all training content is current and makes a quality first impression.
  • Training must include but are not limited to (not all training listed will be facilitated by this role but it is expected the role ensure all training are completed):
  • CBRF policies and procedures
  • Assessing needs and individual services for each resident
  • Recognizing and responding to resident changes of condition
  • Medication administration and management
  • Ethics & Boundaries
  • Community Based Suicide Prevention
  • Nutrition and Exercise for Clients in Behavioral Health
  • CPR
  • Fire Safety
  • First Aid
  • Choking
  • Collaborate with QA Specialist in updating policies and procedures across Tellurian's Continuum of Care, to accurately reflect current standards of operation as required by the state, county, and other regulatory boards.
  • Assist and act as a resource to assigned committees and provide education and training for management and staff on the interpretation of standards.
  • Consults with program leaders to assess training needs and develop suitable training programs.
  • Builds cross functional relationships across the organization.
  • Ensure our onboarding and training connects people to our mission and prepares them to be successful in their role.
  • Ensure compliance in training and onboarding requirements for each employee.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree Preferred
  • Must have good organizational, communication and time management skills; demonstrated written and verbal skills; and the ability to work in a fastpaced, multitasking, environment.
  • Knowledge of state and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office.
  • Computer typing skills and ability to use various software programs.
  • Minimum two years' experience working in behavioral health or substance abuse program setting.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in a learning environment.
  • Must be able to communicate for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to present to read, write and verbalize materials being presented.
