Morgan Stanley's Business Control Unit (BCU) works within the Firm's Sales & Trading Division and is responsible for the overall program of supervision in Fixed Income, Commodities and Bank Resource Management.
The team seeks to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations governing the firm, as well as adherence to internal standards, controls and policies.
SummaryBCU Trading Desk Supervision is looking for a Vice President in New York in a strategic supervision function. The Desk Supervision function of Fixed Income focuses on oversight of regulatory and firm requirements for Supervision. Central to the role will be process redesign, business strategy and development of senior level presentations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform ongoing delegated supervisory functions
- Daily interaction with Desk Heads, Traders and Sales team to assist with Supervisory questions, concerns and conduct related incidents
- Author policies and procedures related to desk supervision including regulatory rules and expectations
- Formulate strategy documents to reengineer front office supervisory processes including management information and dashboard presentation
- Present metrics, strategies and supervisory materials to senior stakeholders across the business
- Ability to parse large quantities of information and present in a simplistic graphical presentation
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert PowerPoint skills a must; management consulting background a plus
- Knowledge of Fixed Income products / trade lifecycle
- Series 7, 63, & 24 will be required (MS will sponsor licenses if applicant does not already have)
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $145,000 and $250,000 per year for Vice President, at the commencement of employment.
However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
