    Description

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for overseeing activities in the laboratory production area to achieve production goals, maintain quality, and control costs. Prioritizes production schedules based on product launches, equipment efficiency, and material availability. Plans and manages procedures and budgets, including making recommendations on capital expenditures and labor management. Selects and trains staff to ensure smooth operations in the lab. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. May be assigned tasks of moderate complexity or diversification. Receives objectives with outlined goals and processes to meet them. Does not usually require instructions for routine tasks, but receives detailed guidance for new projects.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate workflow activities among all laboratory sections.
    • Supervise and assign duties to Process Specialist(s), Separations, Loading, and Measurements Technician(s) as needed.
    • Handle Data Production and Reports, including overseeing the preparation, QC, and transmission of measurement sample reports.
    • Manage the GM tube supply, including receipt, warranty repairs, calibration schedule, and maintenance.
    • Develop, review, and validate laboratory procedures.
    • Supervise procurement activities and track LN2 consumption.
    • Ensure equipment maintenance schedules are followed, monitor GM-tube performance, and manage compressed gas cylinder inventory.
    • Track and analyze bias in GM tubes and counting channels.
    • Manage Production Laboratory Personnel, delegate assignments, develop career progressions, and perform employee Timesheet approval.
    • Oversee Laboratory Training, Program Documentation, Training Records, Tasks Evaluations, and Quarterly Records Review.
    • Maintain good laboratory housekeeping standards and ensure End-of-Day Safety/Security procedures are carried out.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Provide general supervision to a functional area, including both exempt and non-exempt personnel. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in line with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

    Qualifications:

    To excel in this role, candidates must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Required Skills:

    • Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and regulations. Strong writing and presentation skills.
    • Mathematics: Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.
    • Reasoning: Capacity to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
    • Computer Skills: General knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP Software.

    Position may require adherence to import/export requirements and knowledge of specific software tools. Candidates should hold US Citizenship and be able to obtain/guarantee government security clearance. Some travel may be necessary.
