Currently we are seeking an
Assistant
Store Manager, for our
Times Square Store.

The primary responsibility of the sales associate is to provide excellent customer service to MUJI customers. Staff must be proactive and excel in a multi-tasking environment which is constantly changing. Staff should be eager to learn as MUJI carries over 7000 products. Ideal sales associates will be well versed in MUJI's philosophy and possess a love for its products. Staff are sometimes required to lift and transport heavy items. Minimal computer knowledge is necessary.


Responsibilities will include:


Visual Merchandising

  • Assist in the layout and display of merchandise in line with MUJI U.S.A's visual standards
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the store at all times
  • Use weekly reports to maintain detailed stock information for practical display use
  • Be conversant in all product knowledge and communicate information to staff
  • Be aware of all advertising to appropriately inform staff and promote products
  • Support sales by implementing proper facemap control

Customer Service

  • Promote total quality service at all stages of sale
  • Deal promptly and efficiently with customer complaints and in accordance with MUJI U.S.A's policy
  • Communicate customer views and reactions to Store Manager and Head Office, when applicable
  • Ensure all areas are appropriately staffed at all times of the day and all customers' needs are met
  • Helps customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise requested; completing payment transactions; preparing merchandise for delivery

Merchandising Stock and General Administration

  • Help plan and run promotional sales
  • Oversee stock supervisor in the maintenance and replenishment of stock, transferring and receiving stock and stockroom organization
  • Complete and maintain 'Leave Request' forms for personnel
  • Ensure staff breaks are rotated daily and adhered to
  • Responsible for exercising control over all company assets and assisting in the inventory process
  • Be fully conversant with the MUJI interface
  • Be fully aware of Company's Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and key calendar dates
  • Manage inventory by determining appropriate inventory levels; anticipating customer demand
  • Prepares requested reports
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by seasonal merchandising presentation

Sales

  • Introduce and promote all categories of merchandise demonstrating consistently high standards in all areas of branch operations
  • Track and communicate both store and company budgets, assuring that all staff maintain an appropriate awareness
  • Evaluates competition by visiting competing stores; gathering information such as style, quality, and prices of competitive merchandise

Team Management

  • Provide support to the store manager in recruiting new staff in accordance with MUJI U.S.A. procedures.
  • Work with the store manager to ensure all staff receives appropriate and necessary training to perform their duties at a high standard.
  • Assist store manager in organizing staff schedules to achieve the most effective coverage, ensuring that overtime is minimized

Point of Sale

  • Maintain superior knowledge of point of sale system
  • Guarantee end of day procedures are followed in line with MUJI U.S.A. guidelines.

Staff Training

  • Work with the manager to perfect the customers journey with focused customer service training and best seller information.
  • Work with Manager in the general security of stock regarding customers and staff.
  • Maintain awareness of security with all staff members. Seek to heighten awareness on shop floor
  • Ensure incident reports are filled to record any unusual occurrence
  • Trains store staff by reviewing and revising orientation to products and sales training materials, delivering training se
