Job DescriptionCVEC is looking for Field Service Technicians, in our Palmyra, VA and Arrington VA offices to perform daily oversight of all collections, service connect, disconnect, and reconnect functions, including scheduling of collection activities.
This position will also respond to and properly handle metering tampering and energy diversion. Connect, disconnect or transfer electric service to members. Verify meter readings as requested by service orders. Perform minor service activities on equipment rated at 240 Volts or below , including: repairing or replacing parts inside of a meter base, installing and removing disconnect collars, surge suppressors, and voltage recording equipment.
All activities will be performed in accordance with established Cooperative Safety Rules, policies, and guidelines.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
