Job Summary:


DDC 4C is seeking an Environmental Specialist I to join our team to provide environmental compliance consultation and management services in the development and implementation of environmental compliance programs.

Assignments pertain to development of management plans to comply with Federal, state, and local environmental control regulations and goals (e.g., water, air, solid waste. The position requires thorough knowledge of all State, Federal, and Local regulations pertaining to environmental compliance programs.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Must Have 15 years of Project Planning and Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute complex environmental conservation, restoration, compliance, and pollution prevention projects. Adapt approaches, methods, and procedures as necessary to address nonroutine challenges.
  • Project Development and Evaluation: Develop project plans, outline environmental procedures, and identify long and shortterm goals and objectives. Evaluate project progress and effectiveness, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Resource Management: Manage project resources from inception to completion, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Environmental Monitoring and Analysis: Conduct environmental sampling and accumulate data for laboratory analysis. Analyze laboratory reports to assess hazardous conditions and regulatory compliance.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare written plans, schedules, and milestones for projects. Generate reports on project outcomes, compliance status, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Team Coordination and Training: Coordinate spill response and abatement team activities. Develop and conduct environmental training programs. Participate in meetings to address environmental concerns related to assigned projects.

Trend Identification:
Analyze data from various sources to identify trends in environmental functions and operations. Recommend improvements or further study based on findings.
