    We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager-Estimator to join our team. Electrical Estimators are an integral part of the electrical construction process and ensure competitiveness, profitability, and growth. You will create accurate, aggressive, and profitable bid proposals for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. The Estimator reviews proposal specifications, and drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, and reviews bids within the Estimating staff for accuracy.


    Compensation:
    $90,000 - $125,000 yearly


    Responsibilities:
    The Electrical Estimator is responsible for producing electrical estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements

    Attend pre-bid or team scope review meetings and understand the complete scope of work required, with sometimes limited information

    Visit construction regional project sites for job walks and meetings

    Review and understand all project bid documents.

    Locate, notify, and send bid information to subcontractors and vendors for quotations on outsourced work

    Complete the estimated takeoff, using on-screen computer estimating, within time deadlines

    Complete change order estimates for awarded projects

    Work as a team with other estimators, company divisions, and departments within the company

    Daily interaction with subcontractors and vendors

    Assist field operations with the estimate after bid award through project closeout

    Prepare a proposal letter, meet proposal due date schedules

    Consistent customer follow-up for feedback on bids/proposals, reporting results to management

    Analyze bids and propose value engineer cost saving ideas

    Provide leadership, direction, train, and mentor Junior Estimators and work well with all team members

    Review vendors bill of materials and subcontractors scope letters for accuracy

    Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future

    awards/probabilities

    Properly transfer awarded projects to operations team and perform buyouts when necessary

    Attend estimating/sales meetings to discuss bid status, and present/solve problems

    Time Management and Communication is a must in estimating. Fulfilling deadlines and able to communicate the information proposed to the customer

    Position Requirements:
    Must have reliable transportation

    Must have a valid driver's license

    Must be able to clear background and drug screen

    Align with company mission, vision, and values

    At least 4+ years of estimating commercial electrical projects

    High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness

    Field experience in electrical and low-voltage systems is a plus

    Knowledgeable of the N.E.C and local code

    Thorough knowledge of the electrical field with familiarity with materials and construction methods

    Full working knowledge and experience with ConEst and IntellBid or similar

    Proficiency using Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Excel, Word) and comfortable with spreadsheets and computerized on-screen takeoff programs

    Produce accurate, timely, and competitive estimates with minimal data

    Excellent communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and owners

    Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize

    Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills

    Flexible and adaptable:
    ability to work in a team environment and initiative to work alone

    Ability to maintain organization while multitasking in an extremely quick-paced environment

    On occasion, you may need to work overtime to meet bid response deadlines

    Ability to work flexible hours if needed

    May require travel
