    Description

    Reporting to the Director of Cost Analyst Services and as a part of the Estimating team, this intermediate level position is primarily responsible for participating in the estimate preparation process for commercial construction projects including the preparation of quantity surveys.

    Experience

    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Construction or a quantitative or analytical field
    • 7 – 12 years of related work experience

    Qualifications

    • Advanced analytical, computer, and equipment operations skills
    • Advanced written and oral communication skills
    • Expertise in QTO extraction software, Destini Estimator preferred
    • Proficiency in Excel formatting and formulas
    • Working knowledge of cost control systems
    • Intermediate project/process management skills
    • Basic office administrative skills
    • Ability to work well with others and handle situations with tact in all circumstances
    • Demonstrated experience in assigned field, such as Health Care, Interiors, etc
    • Demonstrated ability to multitask
    • Basic understanding of cost history and market pricing

    Primary Duties

    • Generate cost studies, perform systems analysis and value engineering to prepare cost effective construction alternative solutions
    • Conduct interviews and negotiations of scope and price with subcontractors and vendors
    • Analyze sub qualifications and fit for inclusion on bid list
    • Convert trade partner points of contact to reliable partnerships
    • Take a lead role on multiple projects involving a variety of construction methods
    • Prepare quantity surveys, bid tabulations, and document coordination on all Linbeck performed construction components
    • Perform pricing on less complex elements of project, subject to review
    • Identify and address issues related to owner contract on assigned projects
    • Write standard contacts and draft complex contracts, such as GMC, subject to review
    • Assemble the GMP on smaller projects
    • Assemble meaningful cost models
    • Represent company at meetings with owners and architects
    • Assist in the preparation of project presentations
