    Description

    Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opening for a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Analyst in our Security Department in Cleveland-Cliffs HQ, based in Cleveland, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leveraging data analytics to improve security protocols, identify security trends across the company, and promote a culture of health and well-being. This role will focus on identifying trends in insider risk as well as determining the companys exposure to external criminal activities. This data will help drive insights and strategic decision-making across the company. Summary of Responsibilities:

    + Conduct deep dive analyses on injury and incident data, identifying patterns, trends, and root causes.

    + Design and develop advanced reports and dashboards to present data insights in a clear and actionable manner for senior management and stakeholders.

    + Collaborate with security and safety managers and officers to understand the specifics and nuances of recorded data.

    + Recommend and implement data-driven solutions to mitigate risks and improve security in the workplace.

    + Evaluate and refine data collection processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of the security data.

    + Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of implemented security measures using quantitative metrics.

    + Work closely with IT and software teams to optimize data storage, retrieval, and reporting capabilities.

    + Provide training and guidance to security team on data interpretation and utilization.

    + Stay updated with the latest tools, technologies, and best practices in security data analytics.

    + Assist in the preparation and presentation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual security performance reviews

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelors degree in data science, statistics, criminal justice, intelligence analysis, or a related field

    + 3 years experience in data analytics

    + Proficient in data visualization tools like PowerBI and statistical software like Python

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Excellent communication and presentation abilities

    + Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy

    + Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion

    + Knowledge of security requirements and safety regulations/standards is a plus

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Masters degree in data science, statistics, criminal justice, or a related field.

    + 5 years experience in data analytics in security or a related industry.
