OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The
Insurance Data Analyst partners with internal customers to determine data and information needs and to determine the use of information to aid them in business decisions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with internal customers to determine data and information needs that will aid in business decisions.
- Develop, produce and maintain ad hoc and custom reports for functional area information needs and analysis.
- Maintain existing reports including selection criteria and documentation.
- Analyze information contained in reports as requested or needed.
- Use various data access tools to pull information for reports and analysis.
- Plan and support information project needs, special reporting and new technology.
- Share reports and information with appropriate area of the company and clients as directed.
- Support the research, analysis and presentation of information by producing reports, compiling and summarizing information; producing supporting documentation and exhibits, and verifying information received from external sources.
- Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to develop long term analytic solutions.
- Assist other associates with preparation of reports and use of information systems, software and related sources of information.
- Participate and represent the department in special projects and teams.
- Present actionable recommendations, presentations, reports and documents to help with the use of the information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Accesses EPHI following the current guidelines as established at the companywide and department levels.
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, mathematics or related field, or comparable work experience.
- 35 years of experience in a data analyst role.
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills. Must be detailoriented.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong/proven analytical skills
- Strong technical skills/computer savvy. Experience with spreadsheets, data base/data flow management and reporting tools.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, multitasking environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to function as a positive team member.
- Knowledge of business and/or insurance policies and procedures, customer service concepts and practices is desired.
