Los Gatos Swim and Racquet Club is located at 14700 Oka Road in Los Gatos.It was founded in 1959 and remains one of the longest lasting family owned fitness clubs in the United States.
We have a 6 acre facility that offers a variety of programs in Aquatics, Group Exercise, Fitness, and Tennis.Employee benefits include a single Club membership and employee discounts.
Essential Job Results:
- Good communication and member relation skills.
- Be able to demonstrate skill objectives.
- Provide corrective feedback to evaluate participant's progress.
- Maintains a healthy, safe environment appropriate for families and children.
- Proves a positive learning environment for participants, parents and other instructors.
- Inspects equipment used and reports any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Completes necessary records and reports.
- Participates in department training.
- Completes additional duties as assigned by Aquatics Director or management.
- Arrive on time, ready to work, dressed in uniform and have possession of all necessary equipment.
- Demonstrate strong characteristics in values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in all your dealings with members, guests, managers and all other staff.
Authority Level:
- Has authority to enforce all rules and regulations fair and consistently.
- Has authority to call 911 in case of an emergency.
- Has authority to administer first aid and CPR/AED.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 15 years of age or older.
- Current Certificate in the following:
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/Standard First Aid
- American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED
- Proficient in swimming skills.
- Extra: Water Safety Instructor (helpful yet optional)
Physical Requirements:
- Have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Being in the swimming pool for extended periods of time. Prolonged sun, wind and/or cold exposure.
- Bending, squatting, turning, twisting, and lifting objects (50 pounds).
- Proficient in swimming and life savings skills.
- Capable of performing rescues and providing CPR and First Aid.
