Baker Brothers Installations relies heavily on the Estimator role to accurately prepare proposals for projects by analyzing the labor and material requirements.

In doing so, the role provides substantial information to the sales team to ensure that we present a strong bid, while also providing the operations team with a budget to strive for.

• Consistently communicate and collaborate with the sales team on new and active bids
• Be the gatekeeper for all information regarding proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
• Read and interpret bid specifications and drawings, and ask thorough questions to gain understanding
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements for the project and update the proposal and budget accordingly
• Develop RFI's and clarifications to ensure bids are as complete as possible
• Contact suppliers for quotes
• Coordinate daily meetings with sales team
• Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain accurate pricing
• Ensure bids are prepared timely and accurately
• Review drawings and highlight any discrepancies and areas of concern
• Review budget and highlight any areas of concern
• Perform other job duties as assigned

• Ability to read drawings
• Effective communication skills are a must verbally and written
• Deadline and detail oriented
• 2+ years as an estimator in the construction industry is preferred
• Desire to take initiative and improve current processes
